Professor at the Department of the Study of Religion is awarded the Order of the Dannebrog

Professor, dr.theol., Hans Jørgen Lundager Jensen has been awarded the cross of the order of chivalry and appointed knight of the Order of Dannebrog

Head of the Department of the Study of Religion, Jørn Borup, congratulates the professor: 

"It is wholly deserved that Hans Jørgen Lundager Jensen is awarded the cross of the order of chivalry. His research within Israelite religion and the theory of religion has contributed significantly to the study of religion – to the benefit of colleagues as well as students.”

  • 1983: Gold medal for a thesis on structuralistic analyses of Old Testament narratives
  • 1987: Associate professor at the Department of Biblical Studies (Old Testament)
  • 1995: Associate Professor at the Department of the Study of Religion
  • 1996: Recieved "Rigmor og Carl Holst-Knudsens Videnskabspris" (Award for Scientific Research)
