Three new associate museum inspectors

As part of the continued collaboration between the museum and the university, three associate professors have been awarded the honorary title of Associate Museum Inspector.

Aarhus University has appointed museum inspectors Jette Linaa and Steffen Terp Laursen as Adjunct Lecturers - and Moesgaars Museum, in turn, appoints three associated museum inspectors from the university. They are Marcello Mannino, Niels Nørkjær Johannsen and Andres Dobat. They will continue to be employees at Aarhus University and there is an unpaid affiliation with Moesgaard Museum.

Marcello Mannino is associated with the purpose of developing the collaboration regarding. scientific studies. Moesgaard Museum wants to increase collaboration on a wide range of analysis formats and to bring the extensive collections into scientific play. Niels Nørkjær Johannsen is associated with the purpose of developing the collaboration regarding. conducting the educational excavations for the students at Archeology and Cultural Heritage Studies. In collaboration with Niels Nørkær, Moesgaard Museum wants to target the educational excavations towards a more strategic level where long-term focus areas can come into play.

Andres Dobat is associated with the purpose of developing the use of metal detectors within Moesgaard's museum area as well as at the national and international level. As part of the collaboration, the implementation and maintenance of DIME is a central focal point, but other types of collaborations are also opened up around e.g. to develop the use of metal detectors in relation to projects concerning. Citizen Science.
