Blogpost from IMAGENU team meeting

It’s been 18 months of different stages of COVID-19 lockdown for our research project.

We’ve been deepely affected by the pandemic, very different ways. We’ve tried to keep in touch by a study group on zoom and whatsapp, keeping in touch both about the academic work of junior scholars and how to continue working as a researcher in the midst of the pandemic.

Today we checked in with the IMAGENU research group and shared concerns related to the project, updates on fieldwork – despite difficult circumstances – publications, courses and plans for conferences. Conversations revealed exciting results from archival research, fieldwork, digital ethnography and plans for conferences at  SIAC Conference  Anthropologies of the Future, the Future of Anthropology

and the African Studies Association conference Re-Centering Africa: Resistance and Renewal In A World Beyond COVID-19 (https://africanstudies.org/annual-meetings/asa-cfp/ )
