Content
Antonia Thomas will discuss, and expand upon, her doctoral research on the Neolithic art found in Ork-ney’s world-famous architectural remains. She will pre-sent an in depth illustrated discussion of Orkney’s Neo-lithic carvings, including the remarkable assemblage from the Ness of Brodgar, and will use these as a springboard to challenge many of the traditional as-sumptions relating to Neolithic art and architecture, and indeed art more generally, in archaeology.
