CEDHAR is offering a three-hour hands-on workshop on AI in Digital Scholarship led by Niclas Griesshaber from the University of Oxford!
You will learn to work in Visual Code Studio (familiarity with Python or other coding language is an advantage) and leverage LLM model capability to transcribe and analyse historical texts. Niclas Griesshaber will guide us through his notebook on "Transplanting Craft Guilds to Colonial Latin America: A Large Language Model Analysis.” His code is available at https://github.com/niclasgriesshaber/guilds_llm.
This event will end at noon.
Those who still have time are invited to join us for a lunch talk in 1461:516 at the Forskning til Frokost programme where NIclas will talk about "Multimodal LLMs for Historical Dataset Construction from Archival Image Scans: German Patents (1877-1918)"
The workshop is catered.
Spaces are limited. To register, please go to https://bit.ly/CEDHARsignup.
