The activities of AUNA’s first semester are slowly coming to an end, and we want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your contributions and participation in AUNA’s seminars, activities and newsletter so far. Wednesday 13.05.2026: 16:00 North Atlantic future(s) at the Nordischer Klang Festival in Greifswald
Theresa Kohlbech Jakobsen will participate in a panel: North Atlantic Future(s) - focus on the Arctic Region. She will be discussing the historical position of the Faroe Islands within the Kingdom of Denmark since World War II, as well as the country’s political parties and its current government, which was formed last month. I will conclude the talk by looking at the latest coalition agreement and the islands’ internal mobility developments, as well as their strategic positioning in the North Atlantic, taking a big leap from local politics to geopolitical questions. Other panellists will contribute insights regarding Greenland and Iceland.
The event will be streamed, everyone interested in the arctic and beyond is welcome.
