Conversation about Julius Caesar between Professor Rubina Raja, Postdoc Trine Arlund Hass and journalist Lone Frank at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek on 4 September 2021. The event is part of the festival Golden Days.

'Cæsar - manden og myten' takes place at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek and is part of the festival Golden Days.

Join Professor Rubina Raja and Postdoc Trine Arlund Hass when they talk about their research and their recent publication Caesar’s Past and Posterity’s Caesar at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek on September, 14:00-15:00. The publication, which explores Caesar’s own self-fashioning through his use of city space, rituals, wars, history and literature, is based on research conducted within the two research projects The Caesar’s Forum Project (where Rubina Raja is one of the directors) and Our Caesar: Danish Receptions of Gaius Julius Caesar (undertaken by Trine Arlund Hass).

The conversation ‘Cæsar – manden og myten’ (in Danish) will be moderated by science journalist Lone Frank and is part of the Copenhagen-based festival Golden Days 2021. Golden Days is a cultural-historical festival centered around history, the present and what has shaped and continues to shape humans and societies. The theme of this year’s festival is Antiquity, and the audience can experience many different events around Copenhagen from 3 August to 19 September.
