Where is home and how do you create relations and images of the future when you are a child of a transnational family? This project follows Linn and her musical development over time (from 8 years old to now 15) and aims at creating a children’s perspective on living between very different cultural realities. I have followed Linn and her family with a camera through the last 10 years, and visited them many times both in Cuba and in their summer cottage in Denmark. The presentation will discuss the role of music as a way of establishing a feeling of home, here in the sense of identity, roots and future aspirations.
