Although the Bodmer papyri are some of our earliest surviving examples of well-preserved codices, their codicological characteristics have not been thoroughly studied. As part of an effort to digitize these manuscripts, I have had an opportunity to work with closely with these books over the last several years. This presentation will detail some of what the Bodmer papyri can teach us about the early development of the codex.
