Seed Funding

“Let us…” – Seed Funding Activities

To stimulate new collaborations, ideas, and forms of engagement across the Health Transitions Research Programme, we offer a series of small seed funding opportunities, collectively titled “Let us…”. These activities are intended to create space for experimentation, dialogue, co-creation, and the development of new interdisciplinary initiatives aligned with the research programmes core themes.

The purpose of the seed funding is to support activities that bring together researchers, practitioners, stakeholders, and partners in ways that can generate new questions, collaborations, methods, and forms of innovation. We particularly encourage activities that cross departmental, disciplinary, and institutional boundaries.

If you have an idea for a seed funding arrangement, write an email with a short application (app. ½ page) to research directors, Rasmus Dyring and Rikke Sand Andersen.

As part of the funding agreement, recipients are expected to contribute to the visibility and shared learning of the programme by providing:

  • a short description of the activity for the webpage prior to the activity
  • a short blog post (approximately 300–500 words) reflecting on the activity, its outcomes, and future prospects after the activity
  • at least one photograph from the activity that can be shared at the Health Transitions Research programme’s webpage.

Seed funding activities are:

“Let us be creative…”

Creative workshops, seminars, or other activities designed to support the emergence of new collaborative research and project ideas through co-design, collective thinking, and playful experimentation. Activities should foster new interdisciplinary connections and encourage engagement with partners beyond the university. Applications must involve either colleagues from at least two different departments across CAS, or collaboration between a CAS researcher and colleagues from other faculties and/or external partners. Proposals should demonstrate a clear ambition explore new avenues for research, collaboration, or societal engagement.

“Let us translate…”

Practice-development workshops, seminars, and collaborative activities that focus on translating research insights into actionable concepts, tools, interventions, or innovative policies, services, or practices. These activities should bring researchers together with practitioners, users, community organizations, public institutions, or other stakeholders to explore how knowledge can move across contexts and contribute to addressing real-world challenges. Applications must involve one or more colleagues from CAS and describe with whom they are testing ideas that can inform practice development or other forms of innovation.

“Let us talk about…”

Short, open thematic seminars that create opportunities for dialogue around a specific topic, challenge, or problem field. Activities should involve talks or presentations by two or three researchers and may be organized across departments (one of which should be from CAS) and in collaboration with external researchers, practitioners, or partner organizations.
