The Social Resilience Lab facilitates self-paid and externally funded research stays. Requests are first reviewed by the lab team and, depending on the length of the visit, may also require approval from the Head of Department or Head of School.
Reach out to an academic team member (does not need to be a PI) with:
Your CV, including recent publications (if any)
A brief description of your planned research goals and activities
A short statement on why you want to join the lab and how your research connects to our focus on social resilience
Initial review: The team member you contact will assess how the proposed research aligns with ongoing projects and expertise.
Internal review: The lab team discusses all requests that have passed the initial review.
External review and approval (if needed): For longer visits, approval from the Head of Department or Head of School may be required. This must be completed at least three months before the planned visit.
Short visits (a few days to two weeks): Internal review; usually 4–6 weeks.
Longer visits (more than two weeks): Internal review (4–6 weeks) plus formal approval from the Head of Department or Head of School; the full process can take around five months, so we recommend contacting the lab well in advance.
Visitors are encouraged to engage with the lab team, participate in ongoing projects, and contribute to discussions and workshops. While the lab provides access to resources and guidance, visitors are responsible for arranging their own funding, travel, and accommodation.
