Tidyverse is a collection of some of the most versatile R packages: ggplot2, dplyr, tidyr, readr, purrr, and tibble, which work together in harmony to clean, process, model, and visualize data.

This course introduces the core concepts of the tidyverse as compared to the traditional base R. Participants should be familiar with the basics of R (sitting on an introductory course qualifies), but can still be novices and unfamiliar with the pipe (%>%) operator. You will learn how to import and filter data from Excel and CSV, and proceed to manipulate, summarize and visualize it in the tidyverse. By the end of the course, you should be able to integrate the tidyverse into your R workflow and leverage a variety of new tools for importing, filtering, and visualizing your research data.

Prerequisites:
- basic knowledge of R, RStudio, and package installation
Bring a computer you have administrative privileges on, and a power cord. Ensure you have tidyverse and the most recent version of R (3.5.2) installed. Detailed installation instructions will be circulated to attendees prior to workshop.
