This online workshop is kindly delivered by Vojtech Kase of the Social Dynamics in the Ancient Mediterranean project and hosted by the Centre for Digital Research of Religion at the Masaryk University of Brno. CEDHAR is delighted to bring you this learning opportunity during the corona situation. 

Vojtech will introduce some basic methods and tools for computational text analysis in Python. The workshop is aimed at humanities audience with very limited or no experience with programming. The workshop will consist of two 2-hour sessions full of hands-on exercises, based mainly on textual data of potential relevance for the audience (e.g. historical sources in Latin or Greek).

Workshop is in English and requires no previous experience with programming.

All you need to participate is:

- have a Google account to be able to downloaded prepared Jupyter Notebooks

- have a headset and know how to connect via Zoom (see guide here)

Start joining sooner if you need some time to configure Zoom audio settings on your computer (recommended if you have not used it before). It is courteous to keep a headset on and keep yourself muted in order to prevent echoes and unpleasant noises. Follow instructor guidelines regarding questions.
