Center for New Critical Politics and Governance is concerned with questions of global order. As old securities erode in front of our eyes, we identify three broad fields of transdisciplinary research relevant for understanding our present and potentially shaping our future. A dominant regime of global governance, neoliberalism, lost hegemony. What will take its place? Old political securities eroded and struggle to generate new narratives of the future. What is shaping our understanding of crisis, and thus the future that shall follow it, when established paradigms lose their grip? While a neo-imperialist global situation arises, an alternative vision emerges, too. The concept of the planetary attracts scholars and policymakers from around the globe – can it guide a new transdisciplinary understanding of the humanities?
