Join Center for Digital History Aarhus and Digital History Seminar for a presentation by Helle Strandgaard Jensen on her new project, Changing Childhood in the Early Era of the WWW (WEB CHILD). WEB CHILD is funded by the European Research Council, 2025-2030 and will explore how the World Wide Web reshaped childhood in three countries—Denmark, South Korea, and the United States—between 1995 and 2005.

In this talk, Jensen will introduce the project's aims and scope, including its focus on how children’s relation to the early Web was conceptualised, how children used the Web and the spaces produced for them. Learn how this pioneering study will uncover the intertwined histories of children, media, and digital technology through innovative methods and a global comparative framework.

Schedule:

14:05 - 15:00 presentation (also on Zoom),

15:00 - 16:00 reception with cake and bubbles for the in-person attendees.

Please indicate your participation mode (Zoom vs in-person) upon registration.
