The 1^st of September I start as a 4+4 PhD student at Aarhus University. I am looking forward to developing my PhD project: ‘Heterogeneous clocks: An examination of the temporal dynamics of life and knowledge production among scientists and hunters in Greenland.’. Analytically I shall focus on the role time – e.g., the importance of different timekeepers such as clocks, weather conditions and animal migrations, as well as different conceptions of time – plays for how people gain knowledge, and what people accept as knowledge about reality. Theoretically I shall build on anthropological, philosophical, interdisciplinary, and multi-species approaches to time.

I hold a master’s degree in Environment, Culture and Society, from the University of Edinburgh, a bachelor’s degree in Social Anthropology with supplementary subject in Philosophy, from Aarhus University. Prior to that I completed 2 semesters in Greenlandic and Arctic Studies, at the University of Copenhagen.

Besides my academic life: I just returned to Aarhus from a summer job in a small Greenlandic village where I enjoyed playing around with friends in the mountains. In Aarhus I enjoy the training and social life in my boxing gym.
