I am a historian specializing in European contemporary history, with a particular emphasis on the Cold War era. Having earned my Ph.D. from Aarhus University in 2016, I have since worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Southern Denmark, the University of Liverpool, and Lund University in Sweden, before returning to Aarhus as Assistant Professor. I am the author of the award-winning Koldkrigere, medløbere og røde lejesvende (Gad, 2017) and co-editor of Cold War Civil Defence in Western Europe. Sociotechnical Imaginaries of Resilience and Survival (Palgrave, 2022).
In research and teaching, I bring an interdisciplinary lens to the study of history, exploring topics such as sociotechnical imaginaries, nuclear culture, preparedness and civil defence; urban history, architecture and geography; psychological defence, media preparedness and information warfare as well as memory studies and cultural heritage.
