I'm a professor of Comparative Literature and director of TEXT: Center for Contemporary Cultures of Text, financed by the Danish National Research Foundation.
Since March 2023, I've been chair of the Book Panel of the Ministry of Culture Denmark.
I have taught in many different courses in History of Literature. At master's level especially in World Literature, and at bachelor's level in Main Works Study and History of Literature 4: “Literature since 1900”. I have also taught several short courses on digital methods. In interdisciplinary contexts, I have offered courses in memory and migration. Since 2013, I have held courses for the Academy for Talented Youth with a focus on the humanities and the future of humanity.
In 2024, I will participate in the Ministry of Culture's working group on the conditions for literature in Denmark: https://kum.dk/aktuelt/nyheder/kulturministeren-vil-have-forfatteres-vilkaar-undersoegt-med-ny-arbejdsgruppe.
I have often interviewed authors at book fairs and festivals, including Mario Vargas Llosa, Salman Rushdie, Siri Hustvedt, Xiaolu Guo, Georgi Gospodinov, Knud Romer, Kirsten Thorup and Svend Åge Madsen.
