Zachary Caple - New Postdoc at the department of Archaeology and Heritage Studies
Zachary Caple will be affiliated the ANTHEA project from August 2021.
Zachary Caple will be joining CAS as a postdoctoral researcher with the ANTHEA project supervised by Mette Løvschal. Zachary received his PhD in Anthropology from the University of California-Santa Cruz in 2017 and was a postdoctoral fellow and research scientist at the University of South Florida. As a member of the ANTHEA team, Zachary's research will examine human-heathland relations with a focus on interspecies entanglements, disturbance histories, and shifting patterns of social organization. He is particularly interested in understanding heathlands as a geographic mosaic in which varied ways of human and nonhuman life are reproduced over the longue durée. He is excited to join the vibrant scholarly community at CAS.
