Research

My research focuses on the reconstruction of past climate in the North Atlantic and Arctic regions during the last glacial-interglacial cycle. My main motivation is to investigate how the ongoing recent changes relate to natural variability in the past. My expertise lies in the analysis of marine sediments using geochemical and micropaleontological methods and advanced geochronological techniques.

Teaching activities

At the Department of Geoscience, I teach at various levels on the topic of paleoclimatology and the role of oceans in climate variability. At the introductory level, I am co-teacher in Climate through Earth's History, and I am the main teacher and course responsible for the more advanced elective BSc course Oceans and Climate. On the MSc level, I co-teach in Geoscience for Sustainability.
