My name is Lena Beliaeva (she/her/hers), and I am excited to be joining Aarhus University as a Teaching Associate Professor of Russian.

I was born and raised in Izhevsk, the capital of the Udmurt Republic. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and a Master's degree with honors in Russian Language and Russian Culture from Saint Petersburg State University.

Throughout my career, I have primarily taught intensive Russian language courses, both in Russia and in the United States.

I am an enthusiastic language educator with a passion for creating my own materials and tools that engage and support students’ learning. I am committed to evidence-based teaching practices, constantly refining my approach to ensure the best outcomes. At Aarhus University, I look forward to continuing this work, bringing innovative and effective resources to the classroom to enhance student success.
