Urban Opinion is based on outreach pieces written by archaeologists Rubina Raja and Søren Sindbæk, originally published in Current World Archaeology. The research draws directly from work conducted at the Center for Urban Network Evolutions (UrbNet), which was funded by the Danish National Research Foundation (2015-2025) and directed by Rubina Raja.

By exploring the roots of today's society through archaeological research, listeners can learn more about past societies and the origins of modern challenges such as social inequality, climate change, and cultural identities, fostering a nuanced worldview and stronger connection to our shared cultural heritage.
