I am a social anthropologist graduated from the University of Copenhagen. I have a deep interest in environmental politics and extractive histories in Scandinavia and South America. Hindered from going to Bolivia due to covid-19, my master’s thesis focused on the politics of extractivism and belonging in the involuntary resettlement of the mining town Kiruna in Sweden. My PhD-project ‘Territories of Fire’ at Aarhus University centres on how Anthropogenic intensification of forest fires in Bolivian Amazonia affects Chiquitano and Mennonite ethnic territorial communities and their mutual interactions by reshaping the socio-ecological relations that support them. More broadly, my research interests centre on environmental knowledge and ethics, resource landscapes and politics, and Christian cosmology in Latin America and Scandinavia. At Aarhus University, I hope to contribute to the ongoing anthropological debates within these themes and broaden the understanding of how run-away environmental change transforms horizons for livelihoods and communities in Amazonia and beyond.
