Bjarke Mørkøre Stigel Hansen joined the AU School of Culture and Society on the 1st of March 2021 as a postdoc in the research project “Epistemological Aspects of ‘Dialogue’: Exploring the Potential of the Second-Person Perspective” led by Professor Claudia Welz.

Bjarke has studied Philosophy at the University of Copenhagen and the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau. He holds a PhD degree in Philosophy and European Studies from the European Institute, London School of Economics and Political Science, where his research focused on the ways in which “Europe” emerges as a theme for philosophy. His work primarily focuses on the philosophy of existence, philosophy of Europe, phenomenology, hermeneutics, and deconstruction. In the context of his current project “In-finite Dialogue: Exploring the In-Between-Us”, he will investigate the trans-disciplinary concept of dialogue as an interlacing between “I and Thou”, “self and other”, by focusing on dialogue as an exposition of singularities constituted in the very between us.
