Prof. Mark Chaves, Duke University, and Prof. Jörg Stolz, Université de Lausanne, present the two leading international studies of congregations, and discuss the significance of these kind of studies for research in contemporary religiosity. Prof. WSR Ulla Schmidt considers the importance of comparative studies of congregations for research in theology and practical theology.
