Inspired by the upcoming premiere of the Lincoln movie by Steven Spielberg,Research Historian at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum in Springfield, Bryon Andreasen, visits Aarhus University to give a lecture about Abraham Lincoln's historical significance.

The lecture is free and open to all employees and students.

Bryon C Andreasen
is a Research Historian at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum in Springfield, Illinois. He earned a J.D. from Cornell University and formerly practiced law in New York. He earned a Ph.D. in History at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has taught at the University of Illinois and Illinois State University, and is the recipient of several awards for research and writing. He is a frequent participant at historical conferences and has published articles in several Civil War anthologies and reviews in various academic journals. His duties at the Presidential Library include researching, writing, and lecturing on Abraham Lincoln and his world, and assisting the Museum’s Executive Director and Library staff on various projects, programs, and conferences. For many years he served as a historical consultant to the State of Illinois’s "Looking for Lincoln" Heritage Tourism Project. He is the editor of the Journal of the Abraham Lincoln Association.
