In the autumn of 2014, the AU Food Platform coordinated an application for funding of the Interdisciplinary Network Food and Nutrition for Health and Well-Being – Food4Being. The application was approved by Aarhus University granting DKK 600,000 to support University activities within the area food, nutrition, health and well-being. The intention is to invite Aarhus University researchers and guests to meet on an annual basis to explore possible interdisciplinary activities within this area of research. The specific aims for the next three years are to identify two to three topics of interest annually and to develop these topics into interdisciplinary study protocols and applications for funding. Food4Being will be able to support project meetings both within and outside the University. Further, the Interdisciplinary Network must underpin the further development of a University Interdisciplinary Centre.
