Geohumanities seminar centered on the visit of Prof. Erdem Kabadayi who will talk about his UrbanOccupations ERC project that combined machine-reading of 19^th century Ottoman tax records with sophisticated spatial sampling in order to study the economy and industrialisation of the Ottoman empire.
