In this talk Mette Skak will present her book Putin's Strategic Culture, Climate Crisis, and Power Transition - From Permafrost to Permawar (Routledge, 2025)
The talk will shed light on the dialectics between Russia's ideational geopolitics and its climate policy and energy geoeconomics, employing a broad approach to understanding security.

Associate Proffesor Emerita Mette Skat holds a Ph.D. ind political science and an M.A. in Russian language and history. She taugth international relations, held seminars on e.g. espionage in world affairs at the Department of Political Science at AU, and has done much research and media communication on Russian security policy and strategic culture.

This event is organized by Global studies dep. School of Culture & Society and is open to all interested students and staff at the university.
