That is the slogan on the mobilization posters in the streets of Ukraine. The soldiers fight to live. But so do all Ukrainians. They all need to live – not only through the attacks and blackouts, online education, limited travel opportunities, displacement and private losses. But also, through an everyday life with studies, work, social life, identity development and political considerations in every move – and a future that is clouded by the shadow of war.
Julie Arnfred Bojesen recently returned from Ukraine where she worked with youth development for five years. She has a deep insight in Ukrainian society, culture and modern history and will share a glimpse into everyday life as well as the bigger tendencies in Ukraine in the shadow of the biggest war in Europe for 80 years.
This event is organized by Global studies dep, School of Culture & Society, and is open to all interested students and staff at the university.
