Saxbee James Affleck - New postdoc at the Department of Archaeology and Heritage Studies

Saxbee James Affleck will be part of the Centre for Ecological Dynamics in a Novel Biosphere (ECONOVO), where he will investigate macroecological human-nature relationships from a functional trait perspective.

Saxbee is a postdoctoral researcher with a background in ecology and biodiversity science. He completed his PhD at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. His work applies functional trait-based approaches to understand the functional consequences of biodiversity and ecosystem change.

He joins Aarhus University as part of the Centre for Ecological Dynamics in a Novel Biosphere (ECONOVO), where he investigates macroecological human-nature relationships from a functional trait perspective. His work aims to further our understanding of how past, present, and future human societies alter the environment and drive ecological novelty.
