Global Studies Department is happy to announce that The European Modern Hindi Translation Workshop will be held in Aarhus, Denmark from the 5th of July to the 12th July 2026. The European Modern Hindi Translation Workshop has been organised by European Colleagues for last many years. Previously it was held at Sofia University in Bulgaria (Sofia), Hungary, Poland (Poznan) and Sweden (Uppsala). The scope of the workshop is to bring together Hindi Teachers, Researchers, Translators and writers for in depth discussions on socio, cultural and linguistic subject-matters as accessed by analysing texts of various genres. During the workshop, the participants bring the texts they are working on. The texts are presented and chosen parts are read line by line and translated. While doing so, strategies to translate and interpret them are discussed.
